Rainbows in my hair……Pravana color rocks!

On another note, I’ve done something amazing to my hair….yea it may be a tad bit fried..but it still looks amazing! I now have rainbow hair, I mean…A “for real rainbow” in my hair….Pravana colors are amazing as us stylists know. They last quite a bit longer than most semi-permanent fashion colors. Check it out! I lightened this part of my hair basically to a really really light blonde. This allows the colors to show up very vivid because it takes away the dark pigment leaving room for the color to show up very bright on the blonde! Image

Make sure you use gloves and cover your surroundings up with towels because this stuff stains bad….my pretty sink with the pretty colors πŸ™‚

Voila! After washing!…….

My doggy loves it too πŸ™‚ She’s a papillon if you are curious…no she is NOT a long-haired chihuahua….grr.

Pravana colors are the best! The green is Tressa Extremers…I ended up having to redo the green because it faded way too quickly. But yes, this is probably how my hair will be from now on πŸ™‚

I’m Mrs. Bozman!!….. 6/1/13

All photography: Ashley Holloway of Laurel, Delaware….Check her out! She is absolutely amazing!!

Hey guys!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here, but I done ran off and got hitched! Yup, it finally happened! All that planning and stressing….it was a PERFECT day. When I say perfect, I mean, no rain….it was gorgeous and sunny and a perfect 86 degrees. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Being surrounded by your entire family and friends was such an amazing feeling. The day went by so so fast….as I’ve been told that it would. I have such fond memories of this day in all the wonderful pictures our photographer took. If there is anything for your wedding that you skimp on, make sure it isn’t the photographer. I could’ve cared a less about a photo booth or a videographer……noone cares about people wearing moustaches or hipster sunglasses..seriously?…spend the extra on a good photographer. You will not be disappointed.

How did I have time to plan for a wedding you ask? Well, I wasn’t one of those girls that gets married as soon as I got the ring. I basked in the greatness of being a fiance’ for awhile….yes, I was engaged for aboutΒ  22 months….and yes, I was happy about that. It gave me some time to save up for the “must-have” things…for example…these $328 Kate Spade shoes!!Image

And now I have a fabulous pair of pretty glittery heels to wear forever…and yes they are comfy. Unfortunately, I cut the bottom of my foot the day before the wedding and had to take them off immediately after the ceremony. They are super comfy though! My shoes were almost as much as my dress was. I went to a local wedding dress boutique in Salisbury, MarylandΒ  (Amber Nicoles Bridal Shop)

The owner, Jodi is fabulous! She was amazing and such a pleasure to work with. My dress was literally my most favorite part of the wedding. I LOVED IT! I ended up going with a Maggie Sottero gown (Miri) .

It had a dropped waist, sweetheart neckline, organza ruffles everywhere with an asymmetrical waistline. I added a rhinestone belt to it to bling it up a little. It was absolutely perfect, and I only spent $450 on it. πŸ™‚ I was a very happy bride!

Bridesmaids dresses were from Patsy’s Bridal in Salisbury, Md ( They are Prettymaids style #22537….the girls there are just wonderful and were so helpful with helping me decide on colors. ….The girls LOVED THEM! The girls ended up wearing nude strappy heels with a colored ribbon tied around their ankle to match each dress. They were so pretty!Image

Each of their bouquets were daisey’s that were sprayed a lighter color to match their dress. I added a felt heart into each of them as a finishing touch. I LOVE LITTLE DETAILS!Image

So, the guys….well, they had to match the ladies….i ended up having them wear a pastel version of the girl they were walking with. It ended up being really pretty. And instead of the boutineers for them, we did the felt hearts to match. How handsome were these groomsmen??Image

The groom wore a multicolored felt heart boutineer!

Overall, I can honestly say i had the best Rainbow Wedding ever…with the hottest bridal party πŸ™‚ Check us out!Image

More details to come on DIY weddings….. πŸ™‚ Time to enjoy the rest of my weekend….or whats left of it :/

Wedding planning…..

So it’s definitely been awhile since I’ve blogged about anything….Feelsbadman. However, I’ve been super busy with the wedding planning as well as getting engagement photos done. Which by the way, turned out absolutely amazing!!! It was done in a 1950’s pin-up vintage theme. Our photographers name was Ashley Holloway ( of AD Photography and Design, and she did a fabulous job and was so fun to work with! Check out her facebook page. Here’s just one of the pics….. super cute πŸ™‚

and heres one more….

Ok, so our venue….yea….venue…such a crappy word right now…touchy subject actually. We have to find a new place to have it due to the fact it may not be there next June. I’m pretty upset about it actually but, there isn’t anything we can do…according to the fiance’… we are on the search for one by the water…can hold 150+ people….thats close to Salisbury, MD….and has everything all in 1 place…reception and a place for an outdoor wedding….oh and i forgot to mention…one that’s reasonably priced. Now i know why there are such things as “bridezilla’s”.
On a lighter note….i FINALLY went dress shopping!!! The best part of wedding planning and I can’t believe i waited that long to go…its crazy how much fun it is. No, I didn’t find “the one”….so I will be going again soon…hopefully to Delaware. The girls at Amber Nicole Bridal in Salisbury were so nice and accomadating. We didn’t have an appointment to try on dresses but she said she would work us in. I found a couple there I loved πŸ™‚ drop-waist style with ruffles and lots of beading! Oh and I think i found my bridesmaids dress too…here are my colors…

Rainbow colors πŸ™‚ my theme is “Caribbean Beach”….yes i will be having tropical colored starfish everywhere…NBD.
Enough with the wedding stuff, I have been doing some awesome hair color at work…
Check out this “rainbow colors” in her hair…with Pravana color (which by the way is amazing!)

title=”jess1″ width=”224″ height=”300″ class=”alignleft size-medium wp-image-122″ />

I love it! It turned out so vibrant and so pretty..she was so happy with it.
Oh, and here’s a pretty braid I did today on my friend Chelsea for her Dad’s wedding

Such a pretty braid..her hair is gorgeous!
Oh and how cute are these nails?? Maribeth at the salon did them for my photo shoot! AGhhh…everyone loved them

And the newest thing for nails! Splatter painting….you apply the basecoat and color coat that you want….and then use a coffee stirrer dipped in any acrylic color of choice and just flick it onto the nail in a splattering motion… its really sweet looking

Amazingness….oh and I just figured out a way to make instant vanilla icecream that tastes homemade so I’m off to eat the rest of the blender full…

By the way….I’m engaged…

So, this is a little late to post…..but I got engaged…in Hawaii…on Waikiki Beach…..this past November. I just wanted to mention it due to the fact I will probably be posting stuff on how the planning is going. And hopefully give some ladies advice on how to plan a cost-effective wedding while working 2 jobs and having a life. Honestly, the first thing everyone asked is “when are you getting married???”. Well if I had said 6 months from November, I would’ve hoped that someone would have slapped me in my face. Seriously… I’m so glad I picked a year and a half long engagement. June 1, 2013 is our date πŸ™‚Β  we are having it outside on the water at Green Hill Yacht & Country Club in Quantico, Md right off the Wicomico River. Absolutely gorgeous!!!! I’m stoked. We have put our deposit down to hold the date…so the big part is done. I called our possible officiant back today and he marked us down for next year….that’s now checked off my list. Guest list is coming along…so far we have narrowed it down from 210 people to about 185 now. I’d really like to get that down to 150……185 is ALOT. Folks….that is probably the hardest part of this wedding planning yet. I have to drink a bottle of wine in order to not feel so bad when I cross people off. :/ Feelsbadman.

Oh and here’s my beautiful ring!!!!!

He did such a good job!… sneaky sneaky…

And heres Hawaii…i loved it. I miss it sooooo much, cant wait to go back for our 5 year anniversary πŸ˜‰

North Shore πŸ™‚

The first thing I did when I got off the plane was plant my feet into that clear water!! It was so amazing…I’d never seen anything like it before. The water here in Maryland is so mucky…you can’t see your hand a foot under…..or probably even 6 inches under.

If you haven’t been to Hawaii… need to go now…you won’t regret it. It’s truly paradise πŸ™‚

It’s the freekin weekend………

So, I have been super busy at the salon this week!! My lower back is killing me….pedicures pedicures PEDICURES. Don’t mind them but I’d rather be doing hair. But hey, money is money πŸ™‚
It’s the weekend…and a holiday weekend at that….which means I actually have a regular weekend… 2 days off in a row??? Unheard of. I’m loving it. I never got to post “after” pics of my pink hair…and by the way…it turned out FABULOUS..check check it out..

AMAZINGNESS!! Not pastel pink…but a beautiful hot pink shade. Pravana Vivids are the best!

I also did an up-do this weekend for a local middle schools formal…and it turned out sooo pretty. The little girl had amazing hair. I love when they come in with awesome hair to work with. She had the most beautiful wave in her hair which definitely made it easier to style…
Lookie here….

Basically, I had some fun this week at the salon. We also played around with my co-worker, Jens hair…..she wanted teal…well she got teal πŸ™‚

And we also did another receptionists hair…christie….she is now a rockstar with her pink and purple streaks..

If you are looking for “rainbow” hair…or something fun…definitely come see me! I love this stuff…
Anyways, time to get my drink on…just made a “coffee smoothie” with some Kahula in it…yea, its pretty much amazing and a great start to the holiday weekend. Make sure you “like” my stylist page on Facebook!!!

Pastel Hair!!….

Hey there! So its a dreary/windy Sunday…what a better way to spend it re-doing my hair. I have a designated chunk of hair in my bangs that is pretty much fried from lightening over and over. Yes, I know…..I’m a hairdresser, however I know the consequences of using 40 vol on a piece of hair over and over….can we say breakage? LOL…anyways……I re-lightened my purple/gray/brown piece in the front again to a nice pinkish/orange color and re-applied a pastel pink to it. Pastel tones are in this summer and I wanted to try it. Pretty much you mix conditioner with the color to tone it down a little before applying it to the hair. I feel as if the conditioner is an added bonus too because this piece definitely needs conditioning. With the wedding and all coming up, I want to make sure that my hair continues to stay healthy (besides the front piece) so that way it will look fabulous for the wedding πŸ™‚Β

Pics will be posted soon….hope it turns out a lovely shade of cotton candy pink :p
Now onto the task of dinner…Chicken ~n~ Dumplings!! My favorite…

Pumpkin Protein Muffins

I almost totally forgot to post this amazing recipe! So, protein shakes make me wanna vomit…therefore I decided to see if putting it into some “baked goods” would help to disguise the taste. It most certainly did. I LOVE these muffins! They are extremely healthy for you (minus the brown sugar). So try this recipe if you want to incorporate more protein into your eating schedule… won’t be disappointed.

Pumpkin Protein Muffins

1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

15 oz (1 can) Pumpkin Puree- not the pie mix

2 Egg Whites

1/4 cup Vanilla Yogurt

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup Oats

3 scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

1/2 Tsp Baking Soda

1/4 cup Wheat Germ

1 Tsp Cinnamon, Pumpkin Pie Spice, Allspice….Ginger….Nutmeg… (I love spices..)

3/4 cup Unsweetened Coconut Flakes (Optional)

Spray muffin tins, heat oven to 375* F. Mix all the wet ingredients with the brown sugar. In a separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Slowly add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and blend together. Fill up muffin tins 3/4 full. I usually sprinkle some oats ontop of muffins before putting them into the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Spray tops with smart balance butter after removing from oven and let cool.

AMAZINGNESS. enjoy. g’night
